PDFescape does have some major limitations in adding new text. Using the web app's insert tools, you can also add new images and text to a document, white-out text, and add web links and form fields. You'll find a pretty solid set of standard annotation tools that can easily add, highlight and strike through text insert notes and otherwise mark up the pages of your PDF file. But PDFescape's annotation tools are easy to use. There's also an "ultimate" plan for $72 per year.Īccessible through any modern web browser, PDFescape offers no OCR capabilities like PDF Candy does. PDFelement Pro supports a comprehensive range of file formats, so there was little need to improve on them here. Sharing documents for review is easy, with options for sending to Evernote, Dropbox, OneNote, Box, Google Drive and Wondershare Cloud all available from the open document. Fonts, color, and other formatting can be customized for each of these. The program includes a full slate of annotation tools, including text highlighting, sticky notes, stamps, signatures, shapes, and freehand markup. You can edit text in-line or within a text box, drop in and manipulate images, insert links, change the document background, create headers and footers, and add and remove watermarks.
